Cookie Policy
Last updated 15 July 2026
We keep this simple: Metroit X doesn’t run ads and doesn’t use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Here’s exactly what we do use, and why.
1. What we use
- Session cookie (essential). When you sign in with Google, we set a short-lived, server-side session cookie for a few minutes to securely complete the OAuth handshake and prevent cross-site request forgery. It expires automatically and isn’t used for tracking.
- Local storage (essential). Your login session (an access token) and a few app preferences are stored in your browser’s local storage, not as a cookie — this is what keeps you signed in between visits. Clearing your browser’s site data signs you out.
- Service worker cache (functional). If you install Metroit X as an app on your phone or desktop (PWA), a service worker caches static assets (icons, scripts) so the app loads faster and can show a basic offline screen. This is local to your device — it isn’t a tracking mechanism.
2. What we don’t use
No Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, ad-network cookies, or cross-site tracking of any kind. We don’t sell data or share it for targeted advertising.
3. Managing cookies and storage
Most of what we use is essential to signing in and keeping the app working, so blocking it will likely break login. You can clear cookies and local storage for metroitx.com at any time from your browser settings — this simply signs you out.
4. Changes to this policy
If what we use ever changes — for example if we add product analytics in the future — we’ll update this page and the Last updated date above.
